CHITRAL: Awami National Party Chitral leaders have ridiculed the ruling PTI leadership for visiting Chitral to inaugurate a power project which was launched by the ANP four years back.
Speaking at a press conference here, ANP Chitral leader Eidul Hussain and others said work on the 69 megawatt Lavi power project near Drosh was launched by then chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti in2012. It is very unfortunate that the PTI leadership is now coming to Chitral to inaugurate the project of the ANP in order to take credit of it.
He regretted that since the 2015 devastating floods, people of Chitral have been in trouble and without electricity. The government, instead of resolving the issues, is hell-bent on claiming credit for projects launched by the ANP.
He said it was the government of ANP which launched a large number of public welfare projects worth billions of rupees in Chitral.
