Don’t try to take credit for marble city project: PTI

In a joint statement on Sunday, they said the KP government had already issued directives for the purchase of land worth Rs150 million. They said soon after the formation of the KP government in 2013, the PTI Chitral workers requested the chief minister to release funds for the purchase of land for the Chitral Marble City. The chief minister issued the directions instantly and the process for the purchase of land started, they added. But as there were legal complications in the purchase of land, the matter got delayed. On March 20, at a meeting with the chief minister a PTI delegation form Chitral took up the matter and the chief minister directed the DC Chitral, who was also present at the meeting, to expedite the process for the purchase of the land. Now the required funds have been released to the district administration and very soon the process to purchase land would be completed. But like the proverbial cutting of a finger to become a martyr, some elements at the eleventh hour are trying to get themselves involved in the project in order to claim credit which is not justified at any sense. They said the marble city project was and will remain the project of the PTI launched for the betterment of Chitral.]]>
