Schoolchildren join environment volunteers to clean Qaqlasht
The Qaqlasht festival attracts a great number of local, national and international tourists every year. The main purpose of the four-day festival is to revive the cultural heritage of Chitral. The cleanliness campaign was arranged by CHEPS on the first day of the festival in which a large number of schoolchildren, environment activists and people from other walks of life participated. The main objective of the campaign was to protect the beautiful landscape. During the campaign, the environment volunteers showed their allegiance to the society’s national vision of clean and green Pakistan by collecting plastic bags, wrappers, bottles and other waste and discard them in proper places. The volunteers pledged their continued support for environment-friendly activities and ensured that they will actively participate in the cleanliness and tree plantation activities.]]>
