She was speaking at a function held at the district courts to administer oath to the newly-elected office-bearers of the District Bar Association and say farewell to outgoing Additional District and Sessions Judge Zahid Mehmood. Ms Khattak said that judges and the lawyers were two wheels of a vehicle and without the coordination of the two speedy justice cannot be ensured in society. She also said that a new website of the district courts had been opened through which the litigants and lawyers can check the progress of different cases as well as the dates of different hearings. Speaking on the occasion, the outgoing additional sessions judge said during his stay in Chitral he tried his best to decide all cases by following the law of the land and provide justice to the people.
