A view of Zait on Tuesday.–Munir Hussyn Fatemi[/caption] At the time of filing of this report at 12 noon, the snowfall was continuing in upper Chitral. Some areas received more than six inch of snow. People of the area especially those in water-scarcity villages took a sigh of relief after the prolonged dry spell was broken. Reports said a large number of people were stuck on both sudes of the Lowari pass as the road was closed while the tunnel not opened. Hundreds of Chitral passengers protested in the Dir side of the tunnel demanding the opening of the tunnel. They said the passengers were stranded there since Monday without any shelter. On Tuesday morning, the deputy commissioner of upper Dir visited the strands passengers and promised to help them out. There were also reports of road closures in many parts of upper Chitral but traffic continued on the main Chitral-Mastuj road.]]>
