UNDP Pakistan’s Strengthening Rule of Law Project (SRLP) organized the training for the DRC members belonging to the four districts in collaboration with the KP police and Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) with funding support from the European Union. Mr. Shah Farman, Provincial Minister for Public Health, who was the chief guest, addressed the event and thanked the police for its role in maintaining peace and security in the province. He said the DRC can play an important role not only in ADR but also in peacebuilding and harmony in the province. Mr. Syed Fida Hassan Shah, DIG Training KP Police, Shahzada Idrees Hayat, ADR Specialist UNDP-SRLP, Mr. Bilal Yar, Manager HRDC-SRSP and representatives of the DRCs addressed the event and shed light on importance of ADR and capacity building of DRCs. The chief guest and the DIG training lauded services of the UNDP-SRLP and the European Union for strengthening rule of law and improving access to justice in the province. Certificates were distributed among the participants at the end of the event. It is expected that engagement with DRCs will have a long lasting impact on access to justice services and the Rule of Law in the province.]]>
