Cold wave grips Chitral after rain

File photo[/caption]Due to the rain that continued for about seven hours, the temperature plummeted to four degrees centigrade while humidity in the air was 82 per cent. The Pakistan meteorological department has forecast widespread rain/thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds the Malakand division of which Chitral is a district. Due to the weekend and Muharram holidays, traffic on roads to Chitral was thin. There was no report of any road blockade in upper Chitral while the Lowari top road was also opened for traffic though there was light snowfall.]]>
