Disgruntled APML man goes independent
CHITRAL, April 28: A disgruntled senior and founding APML leader and former naib nazim Yarkhun Syed Ghulam Uddin has decided to contest the local government elections for the seat of tehsil member independently. The APML disgruntled leader said that the controversy arose on the ticket issue when the APML UC Yarkhun ticket was given on the basis of favoritism. He also said that he had been a senior, loyal and devoted worker of the AMPL since its inception. He claimed that he had great influence in the constituency. “Party district leadership assured me on several occasions that I would be allotted the ticket but in the end they kept me in the dark and gave the ticket to an incompetent candidate,” he added. The ex-nazim claimed to win the elections saying the ideological workers of Pervez Musharraf, party’s youth had decided to support him as the independent candidate rather than voting for the APML ticket holder. A very tough competition is expected among the candidates for the tehsil and district council membership in UC Yarkhun.]]>
