BOONI, April 18: The Pakistan People’s Party upper Chitral held a meeting here in which local leaders and workers along with the party’s ticket holders participated in a large number. The meeting was held which the agenda of discussing preparations for the forthcoming local government elections. Speaking on the occasion, MPA Sardar Hussain said that the tickets for the district and tehsil councils were allotted purely on merit. He said that there was no need for the PPP to enter into any election alliance with any party as the PPP was in a good position to clean sweep all the 10 seats in upper Chitral. District president of the PPP Salim Khan MPA said the PPP had already entered into an alliance with the PTI and the APML for five seats in lower Chitral and three seats of upper Chitral. He expressed the hope that after the May 30 local government elections, the PPP would form a government in the district of Chitral and a party Jiala would become the district nazim. In the meanwhile, electioneering for the LG polls has picked up and the candidates after filing the nomination papers have started their campaigns.]]>
