Chitral admin, CIADP managers wrangle over assets

CHITRAL, Jan 5; After the appearance of a news regarding the assets of the Chitral Integrated Area Development Programme (CIADP), the district administration of Chitral has asked the grant management firm – THRIVE – to provide a complete inventory of all the major as well as minor assets to it. disputeThe Norwegian-funded Chitral Integrated Area Development Programme (CIADP) ended on December 31, 2014, and the Islamabad-based grant management company – THRIVE – wanted to transfer out of the district all the assets showing them as its own property. The assets of this programme were worth millions of rupees, including at least six luxury vehicles. An officer of the district administration also brought the issue to the notice of the deputy commissioner. Now it is learned from sources that THRIVE management has agreed to hand over at least five vehicles and other assets to the district administration. However, the sources told ChitralToday that the list provided by THRIVE still did not include a number of items, including one luxury vehicle. Now the district administration has directed THRIVE management to hold a meeting in this regard on January 8 and hand over to it all the assets, including the missing vehicle.]]>

Great Work by district administration but the real credit goes to Chitrali media who highlighted this issue. I give the credit only to the media once again. I am sure back in 2009 had there been an effective media coverage this mega program never had fallen in the hands of outsider.
