Chitrali students take out rally against Indian agression

PESHAWAR, Nov 6: Tehreek Jawanan-e-Pakistan’s Chitral wing here on Thursday held a protest rally against the ongoing Indian aggression in Kashmir and across the Line of Control (LoC). The rally started from Pearl Lawn of the Peshawar University and ended outside the Peshawar Press Club where it turned into a a big public gathering. proetsts2 copyChitrali students from the University of Peshawar, Islamia College and other educational institutions took part in the rally. The participants were carrying banners and placards and chanting slogans against the Indian aggression and its hegemonic designs in the region and the international community’s silence over the human rights violations in the hands of the Indian occupying forces in the held Kashmir. Those who spoke on the occasion included Omer Khalilulalh, the president of the TJP’s Chitral wing, patron-in-chief and vice patron-in-chief of the Tehreek. The speakers on the occasion condemned the Indian unprovoked firing across the LoC into the Pakistani areas and killing of youths in the held Kashmir. They said that India was continuously violating the LoC but the international community remained a silent spectator to the issue. They said India was also involved in water terrorism and was building dams on the rivers flowing into Pakistan in sheer violations of the bilateral agreements. They said that the international community had failed to provide justice and ensure the right of self-determination to the people of Kashmir despite passing resolutions over six decades ago. They called upon the international community to intervene in the matter and force India to stop its aggression across the LoC and in the held Kashmir.]]>
