Drosh's only college gets its own building

CHITRAL, May 19: The Hira Model School and College, the only college in the Drosh town, got its own building and shifted there. A ceremony was held at the new college building which was attended by a large number of people, including teachers and students. Addressing on the occasion, dean Hira Model School and College Haji Abdullah said there was no inter-level college for girls and neither any degree college for boys in Drosh area with a population of 75,000. He said after retirement as SDO from the education department he established the degree college – both for girls and boys – in a rented building in 2005. Since its creation, some 519 male and female students have graduated from the college. He said that the college was shifted to its own building and would continue educating students of this neglected area.
