Private educational institutes hold their own annual sports contest

But the people at the helm of power seem least bothered about the future of our young generation. The decision of the district education department Chitral to exclude all the private educational institutions of the district from the only annual sports competition known as Inter-School Zonal Tournament, on the pretext of insufficient fund speaks volumes about this fact. One wonders where the huge amount of money allocated by provincial government of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf in the recent budget has gone. However, kudos to All Private Schools and Colleges Association that organized an event through its own resources. In this connection, the finals of sports competition of the private educational institutions organized in joint collaboration by Pamir Public School and College Booni and Islamia Public School Bombagh were held in subdivisional headquarter Booni. Subdivision Mastuj was divided into two zones; Mastuj and Booni. As more as 14 and 12 private educational institutions from Booni and Mastuj zones respectively took part in the competition. In the final of various games which were eventually held in Booni Pamir Public School and college Booni defeated Glorious Institute Chuinj to clinch the cricket trophy. Likewise, Pamir Public School and College also won volleyball final by defeating Dawn Institute of Education Mastuj. In the final of football Hassan ul Bana School and College defeated Dawn Institute of Education by two goals to zero. Mr Fazle Malik, manager ELLY, AKRSP, Chitral was the chief guest on the occasion, he distributed prizes and trophies among the students. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the efforts of Pamir public School and college and Islamia Model School to arrange a week long colourful sport festival for the students of sub division Mastuj. He stressed the need to arrange such festivals frequently in future also so that the youth of chitral can excel in co-curricular activities as well.]]>
