Senator Samina Abid[/caption] Speaking on a point of public importance in Senate, she said that Waraich who along with his wife, an environmental engineer, and an infant daughter, lost his life, served the backward district in best possible way, within a very short span of 14 months. “No bureaucrat, since creation of the district, served the people of Chitral like he did, as he’d devoted his time, his talent, for the uplift of Chitral and this is the reason he emerged as a hero among the people so the government must reward [posthumous] him with highest civil award to acknowledge his services,” she added. Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani directed the government to pursue the matter and inform the House what could be done in this regard as the services of the young bureaucrat for the uplift of the area, are commendable. Senator Samina said the people of Chitral mourned the death of their ‘hero’ deputy commissioner who made all-out efforts for the betterment of the people, adding visited far-flung areas, and never bowed before the corrupt politicians. “The way he served the area despite his young age, which we all know, had earned him respect and love among the people, who are still in shock as no other DC had enjoyed so much popularity like he did,” she maintained. The PTI senator also lambasted the government for giving Chitralis a step motherly treatment, saying Chitral is a landlocked district but C-130 planes are being given to Gilgit-Baltsitan that already has an all-weather route – Karakorum highway. “I just want to ask the government what is the fault of Chitralis….why are they being treated like this? The Lowari top is closed upon them due to snowfall, and they can’t travel via Afghanistan, so the only alterative is operating C-130 flights from Chitral to Islamabad,” she added. She said that if the government could not operate daily flights, arrangements must be made for alternate day flights of C-130 to facilitate the people who have been stranded with the arrival of the winter season. Senate chairman Raza Rabbani directed leader of House in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq to consult the defence ministry about provision of C-130 planes to mitigate the suffering of the people who had no other option to connect with rest of the country.]]>
We salute the high consideration of Senator Samina Abid and Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani for the peole of Chitral.However we would like to remind The PTI Senator that Pervez Khattak administration in KP also has a biased approach against Chitral and its ethnic minority.There should be some remedy to the sufferings of the people of Chitral due to the negligence of the provincial govt during the last e and half years.
میں ذاتی طور پر سنیٹر ثمینہ عابد کو سلوٹ کرنے کے حق میں نہیں ہوں۔ ان کی یہ تقریر محض سیاسی نمبر لینے کی کوشش ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ مرحوم ڈی سی چترال کو ان کی زبردست خدمات کے بدلے ملک کا سب سے بڑا تمغہ دینے کا مطالبہ تھا۔ آگے جاکر چترال کے لیے سی ون تھرٹی کی سروس چلانے کا مطالبہ تھا، کیونکہ ان کے بقول لواری ٹاپ برف باری کی وجہ سے
بند ہے، دوسرا متبادل راستہ موجود نہیں اور چترال کے مسافر افغانستان کے راستے سفر کر نہیں سکتے۔ ایسا لگتا ہے کہ ثمینہ عابد صاحبہ کو یہ بھی معلوم نہیں کہ لواری ٹنل بن چکا ہے۔آج سے آٹھ سال پہلے جب چترالی اس سرنگ میں سے گزر سکتے تھے تو آج کیوں نہیں؟ ایک “ڈکٹیٹر” کے دور حکومت میں 9 کلومیٹر چوڑا ٹھوس پہاڑ کھد سکا تھا اور درمیان میں گزرگاہ بن سکی تھی اور چترال کی ستم خوردہ عوام کو تاریخ میں پہلی مرتبہ ملک کے دوسرے حصوں کے ساتھ زمینی رابطہ قائم ہو چکا تھا تو آج کے ان “جمہوری آقاؤں” کے دور میں چترال کے عوام پھر سے راستے کی تلاش میں مجبور کیوں ہیں؟ ان کو کوریائی کمپنی سنبو کے اہل کاروں کے رخم و کرم پر کیوں چھوڑا جا رہا ہے؟ کیا محترمہ سنٹیر موصوف یہ مطالبہ نہیں کرستی تھیں کہ لوارٰ ٹنل فوری طور پر آمدورفت کے لیے کھولا جائے۔ چترال کے ساتھ کسی بھی نام نہاد جمہوری دور میں انصاف نہیں ہوا۔ ایوانوں میں بیٹھے ہمارے نمائیندے محض سیاسی سکور بڑھانے کی کوشش میں مصروف ہیں تاکہ آنے والے انتخابات کے لیے تھوڑی سی تیاری ہو جائے۔ اس لیے انہیں سلوٹ کرنا سلوٹ کی توہین ہے۔ جہاں تک اسامہ احمد وڑائچ کو اعلے تمغہ بعد از شہادت دینے کے مطالبے کا تعلق ہے اس کے پیچھے بھی یہی سیاسی مقاصد کار فرما ہیں ورنہ شہید ڈی سی نے اتنا بڑا کارنامہ انجام نہیں دیا تھا کہ جس کے بدلے انہیں ملک کا سب سے بڑے اعزاز کا مطالبہ کیا جائے۔ ممکن ہے کہ چترال ٹاؤن اور نواح میں اچھے اچھے کام کیے ہوں۔ ہم جیسے دور دراز وادیوں کے باسیوں کو ان کی خدمات سے استفادہ کرنا نصیب نہیں ہوا اور نہ کھبی ان سے ملاقات کا شرف ملا تھا۔
کیا چترال کے اندر کسی صاحب نے چترال کی اتنی خدمت نہیں کی ہے کہ ان کی خدمات تسلیم کرتے ہوئے ان کو ملک کا سب سے بڑا تمغہ دیا جائے؟ ہمیں ذرا سوچنا چاہیے۔ میرے ان الفاظ سے کسی کی دل آزاری ہوئی ہو تو معذرت چاہتا ہوں۔
I am very sorry to see the comments of two distinguished educationists of Chitral regarding the subject. Negative comments have become their favorite pasttime after their retirement. I have not seen any good piece from Faizi sb since quite long time. I just want to submit here that if both of you think that all the leaders are useless why dont you come forward and join politics and serve people and put the system straight.
dr. Sangal, Both of our senior educationists are quite intellectual not to join the corrupt politics, and they have all the right to comment whatever they feel like.
I request you to kindly respect their opinions instead of imposing your advice- that is not needed by two very learned men, I believe.
