BOONI: Rescue 1122 teams are conducting a search operation after receiving reports that a child fell into a river at Sor Laspur in Upper Chitral. The child has not been traced so far.
According to Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral, teams are continuing efforts to locate the missing child. Residents living near rivers have been urged to immediately contact the Rescue 1122 helpline if they spot a body or any suspicious object in the water.
The incident comes amid recent flooding in Chitral, which has already claimed at least two lives and caused damage and disruption in several areas.
Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid going near swollen rivers and streams.
