CHITRAL: Light snowfall has started in Lowari area with the Chitral-Peshawar road open for traffic.
The weather was cloudy since Wednesday morning and light snowfall started at about 11am, according to the office of the deputy commissioner Lower Chitral.
All roads across Chitral are also open, it said. On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Imran Khan, the NHA and Communication and Works Department machinery are on standby to keep the roads open in case of more snowfall.
Drivers have been asked to use snow chain on the approach road to the tunnel road and avoid travel at night. In case of any emergency, contact the DC office at 0943412519.
