PESHAWAR: A youth from Chitral was shot dead outside his home in National Bank Colony in the Kohati area of Peshawar late on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old belonged to Shangush village of Oweer valley in Upper Chitral. Two unidentified motorcyclists shot him dead outside his home and escaped, Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Chitrali activist Saeedullah told ChitralToday. He said the victim, Imran Ahmad, son of Haji Fazal Khan, was a resident of Oweer.
The police shifted the dead body to Lady Reading Hospital for a postmortem and have launched an investigation. So far, the motive behind the murder is not known.
Meanwhile, a brother of the deceased, Usman, told ChitralToday that his brother and the family had no enmity with anyone.
\”We have a shop in Chitrali Bazar. Me and my brother were running that shop,\” he added.
The youth, who was a student, died while being shifted to hospital, a police officer said, adding a case had been registered against the unknown assailants in the Yakatoth police station on the complaint of the deceased’s relatives.
