Rally in Garam Chashma Demands Public Holiday on Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Ali

Garam Chashma, March 11, 2026: A rally was held in Garam Chashma to commemorate the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali on Wednesday.

Local leaders and religious scholars from Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat participated along with people from different schools of thought.
The rally started from the Central Jamia Mosque and passed through various roads before concluding peacefully. A large number of religious scholars, social figures, and members of the public took part in the event.
During the rally, participants paid tribute to Hazrat Ali for his bravery, justice and invaluable services to Islam.

Speakers said the life of Hazrat Ali remains a guiding example for the Muslim Ummah, adding that following his teachings can help promote peace, justice and brotherhood in society.
Religious scholars and leaders of Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat urged the government to declare a public holiday across the country on the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali, allowing Muslims to observe the day with religious devotion and respect.
The speakers stated that the sacrifices and services of Hazrat Ali for Islam are unforgettable, and the importance of the day should be highlighted to keep his legacy alive.
Special prayers were also offered for peace, national stability and unity of the Muslim Ummah.
The local administration had made adequate security arrangements on the occasion.
