Zahiruddin [Ex-Manager ZTBL, Living in Richmond Hill, Canada]
In the remote and mountainous regions of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan, where access to education and healthcare remains a challenge for many families, the selfless efforts of Safirah Saif have become a source of hope for hundreds of underprivileged people.

Safirah Saif was born into a respected family. She is the daughter of a renowned teacher and ex-ADO Education department Hakim Mir Wali Khan of Awi, Mastuj, in Upper Chitral. She married Dr. Saiful Muhammad of Booni. Together, the couple is blessed with two lovely children: a daughter, Minsa Muhammad and a son, Ali Yahya Muhammad.
Safirah Saif has dedicated herself to serving humanity, particularly focusing on the education of marginalized children. Through her organization MASS, she is providing scholarships to 450 underprivileged students in the remote areas of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan to gain access to education. Many of these students come from families who struggle to afford even basic school expenses. Her support has enabled them to continue their studies and build a better future.
Her compassion extends beyond education. Safirah is also actively involved in helping patients who cannot afford medical treatment. In these mountainous areas, many families lack the financial resources to purchase even basic medicines. Through MASS, Safirah has helped many cancer patients get treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi.
Through her humanitarian efforts in both education and healthcare, Safirah Saif has touched the lives of hundreds of people. Her dedication, generosity and commitment to social welfare serve as an inspiring example of community service and compassion.
In recognition of her remarkable contributions, it is strongly recommended that the government of Pakistan honor Safirah Saif with the prestigious Pride of Performance or another high national award. Such recognition would not only celebrate her noble work but also encourage others to contribute to the welfare of society.
Safirah’s story reminds us that true change often begins with individuals who are willing to dedicate their time, resources and hearts to helping others. Her tireless efforts continue to bring hope, dignity and opportunity to the people of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan.
