JI Protesters Ask Pakistan to Support Iran Against Agressors

Chitral, March 6, 2026: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Lower Chitral has demanded that Pakistan support Iran following attacks by the United States and Israel, as party workers staged a large protest demonstration in Chitral on Friday.

The protest was led by JI Lower Chitral chief Wajihuddin and attended by a large number of party workers and local residents who chanted slogans against the United States and Israel.

Addressing the gathering, JI leaders said the attacks on Iran were in fact “a link in the chain of completing the impure plan of ‘Greater Israel’.” They expressed regret that some Arab countries were facilitating this plan by providing the United States and Israel with bases, as well as air and land routes, which they said is a matter of serious concern for the Muslim world.

Speaking to the protesters, Wajihuddin said: “Iran has set a new example of courage and faith by not bowing before the global tyrant. Although materially there is no comparison with the power of the United States, the way of a Muslim is to stand firm before material power, and Iran has done exactly that.”

At the end of the protest, participants unanimously passed a resolution demanding that Pakistan, as a nuclear power, stand with Iran and fulfill what they termed its Islamic and moral responsibility.
The resolution also stated:

Any attempt at “regime change” in Iran according to the wishes of the United States would by no means be in Pakistan’s interest and should be opposed.
Muslim countries must unite against American aggression and end their silence over the issue. Protesters reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting oppressed Muslims and forces resisting imperialism.
