Warning Issued Against Illegal Parking in Chitral Bazaar

Chitral, March 5, 2026: The Traffic Warden Police of Lower Chitral have asked citizens, shopkeepers and government employees to avoid illegal parking in Chitral’s main city bazaar, warning that strict action will be taken against violators.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of District Police Lower Chitral, the number of non-custom paid vehicles, rickshaws and pushcarts operating in the city bazaar has been increasing day by day, creating traffic congestion.
Despite availability of a private parking facility on the bypass road, many government and private employees as well as shopkeepers continue to park their vehicles along the roadside. This practice disrupts the smooth flow of traffic and causes serious difficulties for pedestrians.
The traffic police have requested all citizens, employees and members of the business community to park their vehicles only at designated parking areas and avoid parking inside the bazaar or along the roadside.
The police warned that strict action will be taken against those violating the instructions. Vehicles found illegally parked will be lifted and shifted to the parking area, and the owners will face heavy fines. Any damage caused to vehicles during the lifting process will be the responsibility of the vehicle owners.
The advisory was issued by the Traffic Warden Police Lower Chitral through the Public Relations Office of District Police.
