Cross-Border Firing Injures Six Civilians in Arandu

Chitral, March 1, 2026: Tensions escalated along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on Sunday after Afghan forces opened fire on the border town of Arandu.
Local sources told ChitralToday that a mortar shell fired from the Afghan side landed on a residential house in Arandu Khas, injuring six civilians, including three women and a girl.

The injured were immediately shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Drosh for medical treatment.
Hospital sources confirmed that the wounded were being treated.
