Chitral, Feb 27, 2026: A soldier belonging to Chitral embraced martyrdom while defending the motherland in the Bajaur sector during the skirmishes between Afghan terrorists and Pakistani security forces.
According to official sources, Sepoy Mahtab Ahmad, son of Sher Jahan, a resident of Gos village in Drosh, was martyred while fighting against militants in the Bajaur sector.
With his martyrdom, Chitral has lost another brave son who sacrificed his life in the line of duty to safeguard the country’s sovereignty. His supreme sacrifice has been widely mourned in his native area, where residents paid tribute to his courage and devotion to duty.
Funeral prayers are expected to be offered in his hometown after the arrival of the body.
