22 Taliban Killed After Multiple Attacks from Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani security forces responded swiftly to unprovoked attacks by the Afghan Taliban along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, including in Arandu, Chitral, on Thursday night.

Multiple Taliban posts were destroyed, and 22 Taliban fighters have been confirmed killed, according to security sources.
The Taliban fired across the border at various points in Khyber, Chitral, Mohmand, Kurram and Bajaur sectors, prompting a strong counter-response by Pakistan’s security forces.

Operations included the use of small and heavy arms, as well as drone strikes, targeting Taliban positions precisely.
Security sources reported that the Taliban attempted to strike Pakistani posts using quadcopters, but all aerial attacks were successfully neutralized.

Pakistani forces continued their shelling and targeted strikes, while Taliban attempts to spread misinformation through media and social networks were also countered.
In Chitral sector, Pakistani forces destroyed a Taliban checkpoint with high precision. Similarly, in Bajaur, two Taliban posts were destroyed, and effective retaliatory fire was carried out in Naogai, Tirah, Mohmand, and Arandu sectors.
