Afghan authorities warned to refrain from any misadventure or aggression against Pakistani border areas.
Chitral, Feb 25, 2026: Residents Arandu located near the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, organized a rally to express solidarity with the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
The rally, held on Wednesday afternoon, saw participants carrying Pakistani flags and chanting slogans such as “Pakistan Zindabad,” “Pak Army Zindabad,” and “Chitral Scouts Zindabad.” A large number of local residents took part in the demonstration, reaffirming their full support for the country’s security institutions.
Addressing the rally, local elders warned Afghan authorities to refrain from any misadventure or aggression against Pakistani border areas. They stated that in the event of any such “cowardly attempt,” the people of Arandu and the entire Chitral region would stand shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
The speakers added that any hostile act would be met with an even stronger response than the one delivered in October last year.
The people of Arandu paid tribute to the martyrs of the Armed Forces, Chitral Scouts, police, and other security agencies, acknowledging and appreciating their sacrifices for national security.
The speakers also strongly condemned the banned outfit “Fitna al-Khawarij,” reaffirming their resolve to resist militancy and terrorism in the region.
