Islamabad, Jan 14, 2026: Saira Jabeen, hailing from Chitral, has been selected for the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team, becoming the first female cricketer from Chitral to be chosen for an international series.
Saira comes from the Rumbur area of the Kalash Valley. Prior to her national selection, she has represented various cricket clubs in Australia, showcasing her talent on an international platform.
According to sources, Saira Jabeen will be part of the Pakistan Women’s team in the upcoming T20 series against South Africa. Her inclusion is being hailed as a significant milestone for Chitral and especially for the Kalash Valley, inspiring local youth, particularly girls, to pursue sports at a higher level.
