Booni, Dec 22, 2025: Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Suriya Bibi formally inaugurated work on the Awi–Sonoghur Road in Upper Chitral at a cost of Rs70 million.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by local people and workers of the PTI.
Speaking on the occasion, Suriya Bibi said the road project would significantly improve connectivity in the area and help resolve long-standing transportation problems faced by the people.
With the completion of the project, residents of Awi, Meragram No 1 and Sonoghur will directly benefit through easier travel, reduced commuting time, and improved access to basic facilities.
The project is expected to contribute to overall socio-economic development in the region.
