DROSH, Dec 20, 2025: An Under-16 Football Tournament was held at Colonel Murad Stadium, Drosh, under the auspices of Ideal Club with the support of Chitral Scouts 143 Wing.
In the final, The Learner School Drosh delivered an impressive performance to defeat Bazar FC and clinch the tournament title.
On the occasion of the final, a friendly football match was also played between students of religious seminaries (madaris). Teams from Madrasa Qasim-ul-Uloom, Drosh, and Madrasa Taleem-ul-Quran, Purana Bazar, competed in a closely contested match, which was won by Madrasa Qasim-ul-Uloom, earning appreciation from the spectators.
The chief guest at the final was Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Abbas, Commander, Chitral Scouts 143 Wing.
Addressing the gathering, he termed the organization of sports activities for youth a positive and encouraging step and assured continued support from Chitral Scouts for such healthy and constructive events in the future.
He emphasized that young people should focus equally on education and sports to become responsible and upright citizens who bring pride to the country.
At the conclusion of the event, the chief guest distributed prizes among the players. Cash awards were also presented on behalf of Chitral Scouts 143 Wing to both madaris teams, the Under-16 finalist teams, and the event organizers.
