Chitral, Dec 11, 2025: Lower Chitral District Police Officer (DPO) Rifatullah Khan has taken notice of a video circulating on social media and summoned the police official seen in the footage to his office.
The DPO has ordered a formal inquiry into the incident in which a police officer is seen misbehaving with an elderly citizen over a parking issue.
According to the spokesperson for the district police, a thorough, transparent and impartial investigation will be carried out on the special instructions of the DPO. Once the inquiry report is submitted, departmental and administrative action will be taken in accordance with the law.
The Lower Chitral police assured the public that irresponsible or unprofessional behaviour within the force will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and that the rule of law will be upheld at all costs.
