Chitral, Dec 4, 2025: National Highway Authority (NHA) has formally confirmed the completion of the Rs. 250 million tender process for the Garam Chashma road project.

Officials have stated that the contractor has already taken over the site and is preparing to mobilize equipment in the coming days.

This confirmation follows an earlier announcement by Pakistan Muslim League (N) Lower Chitral President Abdul Wali Khan that the project’s funds had been released. The latest update now solidifies the start of practical work on this crucial road infrastructure.

During the winter months, preliminary activities, including water-bound preparation, installation of washers, and other essential groundwork, will be initiated along the road.

With the arrival of spring, the full process of asphalt laying and complete carpeting will begin, marking a major step toward fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people of Lotkoh.

The advancement of the project is expected to significantly enhance regional connectivity and serve as a strong foundation for broader socio-economic growth in the area, making it a landmark development for the residents of Garam Chashma and surrounding communities.
