Chitral Dec 3, 2025: Riffatullah Khan (PSP), the newly appointed District Police Officer (DPO) of Lower Chitral, formally assumed charge of his office on Wednesday.
After assuming charge, DPO Khan reached the Police Lines, where senior officers welcomed him. SP Investigation Muhammad Shafi Shifa, SP Elite Force Atiqur Rahman, DSP Headquarters Iqbaluddin, SDPO Chitral Circle Sajad Hussain and other officials received him upon arrival.
A contingent of Lower Chitral Police presented him a ceremonial salute. The DPO then visited the Martyrs’ Monument, laid a wreath to honour the fallen personnel, and offered Fateha for the elevation of their souls.
He reaffirmed his resolve to maintain peace and order across the district. He vowed to protect the youth from the scourge of drugs, enhance public convenience, and enforce the rule of law in every circumstance.
