Chitral, Nov 27, 2025: Prime Minister’s Coordinator Abdul Wali Khan on Thursday said funds have been released for the repair and rehabilitation of Garam Chashma Road.
The approved package includes the construction of a 15-kilometre asphalt stretch, which stands as the central and most crucial component of this development project.
Earlier in the day, a meeting was convened at the deputy commissioner’s office in Chitral, where Abdul Wali Khan held detailed discussions on the practical execution of the project. Topics covered included the implementation strategy, work phases and the specific responsibilities assigned to the concerned departments. Officials at the meeting said the project will begin without delay to ensure maximum convenience for the local population.
Residents welcomed the development initiative, viewing it as a promising step toward improved road connectivity, safer travel, and enhanced public services.
