Session on “Each One Teach One” Initiative Held

Chitral, Nov 13, 2025: An orientation session on “Each One Teach One” initiative was conducted at University of Chitral for the heads of departments and faculty members.

The session led by Syed Maqsood Shah, Deputy Director National Commission for Human Development (NCHD, was held to familiarize the university’s academic leadership and teaching staff with the objectives, framework, and implementation strategy of the program, one of NCHD’s key literacy and community empowerment initiatives.

Shah delivered a presentation covering the background and mission of NCHD, the salient features of the EOTO program and the objectives of the training. He elaborated on the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders, emphasizing the collaborative role of educational institutions in promoting literacy through volunteer engagement.

The presentation also detailed the implementation strategy, monitoring mechanisms, assessment and certification processes, and the way forward—ensuring that participants gained a complete understanding of how the EOTO model operates.

Participants lauded NCHD’s efforts in driving community-based literacy initiatives.

In their feedback, the HODs and faculty members expressed deep appreciation for Syed Maqsood Shah’s detailed and motivating presentation. They acknowledged that the session enhanced their understanding of the EOTO program and inspired them to contribute to the cause of literacy and educational development in the region.

The orientation session served as a valuable platform for collaboration between NCHD and the University of Chitral. It not only strengthened institutional linkages but also reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing literacy and community development in Chitral and beyond.
