CHITRAL, Nov 3, 2025: The entire district of Chitral, including the Lower Chitral Police, is deeply grieved and saddened by the tragic and heartbreaking accidental death of Degree College Chitral student Taimur.
In an official statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Lower Chitral Police, it was stated that certain social media users had been spreading misinformation claiming that the name of the person involved in the road crash was not mentioned in the FIR. Such misleading claims have created unnecessary confusion and intensified the grief of the already bereaved family.
The police clarified that identifying a suspect was the responsibility of law enforcement and the accused, Dr. Noorul Islam, had already been identified and arrested. The statement added that the police will utilize all available resources and legal means to ensure that he receives punishment in accordance with the law.
Citizens have been urged that if anyone suspects any form of irregularity, negligence or lack of transparency in the ongoing investigation, they should bring the matter to the attention of the SP Investigation or the DPO Lower Chitral. The police said all legal and procedural requirements necessary for the delivery of justice will be fulfilled.
The police also appealed to social media users to refrain from sharing or further circulating the video footage of the tragic accident as its continued circulation may cause additional anguish and distress to the grieving family.
