The accident happened, a very young brother lost his life. The incident shook everyone who has sympathy for humanity.
The discussion about the topic has taken Facebook by storm, but one thing hasn’t been discussed; why isn’t Doctor Sahib showing any sense of sanity?
Doctor Sahib is an educated person and it’s a fact that his service to humanity is immense and cannot be overlooked but one thing that really shocks me whenever I see any news or post written by students on Facebook is this: why isn’t Doctor Sahib showing even a scintilla of humanity by offering his mea culpa publicly?
Accidents happen and saying that someone does such things intentionally makes no sense. Yet, what truly hurts me and makes me ponder is how someone can be so hard-hearted why isn’t he offering an apology on social media?
If I were him (God forbid), I would first accept the fact that the mishap happened, it was a mistake and for that, I would offer my apology then, I would definitely visit the family of the deceased to express my sympathy and offer compensation.
Although compensation can never replace a human life, still, humanity should have been shown by Doctor Sahib. His accepting the mistake and showing regret for the accident that happened might, to some extent, help pacify the mother who had built dreams for her son.
Doctor Sahib should remember that accepting one’s mistake does not make a person smaller because, as it is said, Allah loves those sinners who rectify themselves.
Aqib Ullah.
