KP Govt Orders Action Against Encroachments

Booni, Nov 3, 2025: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has directed all district administrations to launch immediate and decisive action against illegal encroachments and to tighten monitoring of sugar prices across the province.

During an online meeting chaired by the chief secretary KP, all deputy commissioners, including DC Upper Chitral Muhammad Imran Khan, discussed key administrative priorities such as the removal of encroachments, effective control of sugar prices, and ensuring the uninterrupted supply of wheat to all PRCs.

The chief secretary instructed every deputy commissioner to take strong and result-oriented measures to clear all illegal encroachments, monitor sugar prices on a daily basis, and maintain sufficient wheat reserves in all procurement and distribution centers.

He emphasized that negligence in implementing these directives would not be tolerated.

Following these instructions, the deputy commissioner Upper Chitral ordered the additional deputy commissioner (general), assistant commissioner headquarters and all additional ACs to identify and remove all illegal encroachments without delay.

He also directed them to submit detailed progress reports to his office regularly.

The District Food Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted and adequate supply of wheat to all PRCs while maintaining both quality and quantity. The DC also ordered all assistant commissioners and the district food controller to intensify daily price-checking operations, focusing particularly on sugar, and to take strict action against individuals involved in creating artificial price hikes.
