BOONI, Nov 1, 2025: A week-long cleanliness campaign has been launched in Upper Chitral under the joint supervision of the District Administration and the Local Government Department.
The drive was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Imran Khan at the district headquarters in Booni.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness as a collective civic responsibility. He urged the public to keep their surroundings clean and to make cleanliness a regular part of daily life.
The deputy commissioner advised shopkeepers and traders to ensure that waste and garbage are properly collected in designated areas instead of being thrown around. He noted that this would help the janitorial staff efficiently collect and dispose of the waste.
The campaign aims to promote environmental hygiene, public awareness, and civic responsibility across all towns and villages of Upper Chitral.
