Drosh, Oct 12, 2025: Residents of the border area of Arandu in Chitral held a rally in Drosh Bazaar on Sunday to show unwavering support for the Pakistan Army and to strongly condemn recent provocative actions by Afghan forces.

It may be mentioned here that clashes broke out between security forces of Pakistan and Afghanistan on the border from Arandu to Balochistan in which, according to the ISPR, about 200 Afghan attackers were killed while 23 Pakistan army soldiers lost their lives.

Political and social leaders from Arandu organized the rally, which culminated in a gathering at Drosh Bazaar Chowk. Key speakers included JUI Arundu chief Maulana Ali Akbar Haqqani, former VC Nazim Qari Amin Ahmad, and Youth Councillor Rahmatullah Kohistani.

The speakers said the current Afghan government, through its forces, launched a provocative attack on the Arandu border a day earlier. Pakistan’s armed forces repelled the aggression with courage and professionalism, inflicting significant losses on the attackers. The leaders criticized Afghan authorities for adopting a hostile stance instead of recognizing Pakistan’s longstanding support.

They affirmed that the people of Arandu and Chitral fully support the Pakistan Army and will not allow any force to threaten the country’s sovereignty.

Speaking to the media, Maulana Ali Akbar Haqqani, Qari Muhammad Amin, Jamaat-e-Islami activist Amir Sharif Khan, and Youth Councillor Rahmatullah Kohistani emphasized that the people of Chitral stand shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces and will confront all anti-state elements. They praised the Chitral Scouts for displaying bravery in repelling the attack, calling their actions a source of pride for the entire region.

Participants concluded the rally by enthusiastically chanting patriotic slogans including “Pakistan Zindabad,” “Pak Army Zindabad,” and “Chitral Scouts Zindabad.”
