Chitral, Sept 8, 2025: The district administration has said that any hostel found to be operating without a valid NOC will be sealed without exception, as part of the ongoing regulatory enforcement drive.
Officials clarified that individuals intending to establish new hostels or those seeking to obtain an NOC for their existing hostels may still submit their applications, provided they adhere to the laid-down terms and conditions.
However, authorities confirmed that the hostels which failed to fulfill the mandatory conditions would now be subjected to legal proceedings in accordance with the law.
As per the latest official figures, a total of 58 applications had been submitted by hostel owners across the district. Out of these, 39 hostels met all the prescribed requirements, and as a result, they have been formally granted NOCs.
It may be mentioned here that icompliance with the government’s decision announced on August 14 regarding the regulation of private hostels, the concerned authorities had issued detailed instructions to all hostel owners to apply for fresh Non-Objection Certificates (NOCs) in order to continue their operations legally.
