PESHAWAR, Sept 2, 2025: Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Suriya Bibi has refuted allegations circulating on social media regarding her role in the recent transfer of the Government Degree College Booni principal and a lecturer.
In a statement, she said a notification issued yesterday by the Higher Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ordered the transfers. Following this, some social media users began attributing the move to political interference and targeting the Deputy Speaker with criticism.
She clarified that she had no role in the matter. “Transfers and postings are the sole authority of the relevant government departments, not public representatives,” she said.
She added that she had already contacted the concerned department and that all facts would be made public soon. The Deputy Speaker urged critics to avoid spreading baseless allegations without verification, stressing that such claims distort facts and hurt public sentiment.
