PM Shehbaz in Beijing for Business Engagements

Beijing, Sept 1, 2025:  Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Beijing on Monday via high-speed bullet train after attending the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Tianjin.

Wang Hong, a senior member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, welcomed the Prime Minister at Beijing South Railway Station along with senior Chinese officials and Pakistani diplomats.

During his visit, Prime Minister Sharif will attend the 80th anniversary of the World Anti-Fascist War, where global leaders will gather to honor the sacrifices made during World War II.

He will also hold separate meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, and other international leaders. These discussions aim to strengthen Pakistan-China relations, enhance regional cooperation, and advance progress under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The Prime Minister will also take part in the China-Pakistan Business-to-Business (B2B) Conference. He will address Chinese and Pakistani business leaders to promote bilateral trade, encourage investment, and explore new opportunities in infrastructure, energy, and technology sectors.

Through this visit, Prime Minister Sharif continues to reinforce Pakistan’s strategic partnership with China and push forward a shared vision of economic growth and regional stability.
