Gilgit, Aug 29, 2025: Unknown attackers targeted a Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts checkpost near Chilas-Hudar. They injured three personnel, who are now receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Faizullah Firaq, spokesperson for the Gilgit-Baltistan government, said the Chief Minister has taken serious notice of the attack. He has ordered security forces to track down the attackers.
Authorities tightened security in the area and launched search-and-target operations. They also cordoned off the vicinity to prevent further incidents.
