Emergency Camp Set Up In Madaklasht Amid Flood Alert

Chitral, Aug 24, 2025: Lower Chitral Police and the District Administration and Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) have set up special emergency camps in Madaklasht in response to the recent flood alert.

The camps aim to provide immediate relief, ensure safe evacuation, and offer essential services to residents.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Chitral Abdul Salam, Additional Assistant Commissioner Drosh Khailur Rehman and other officials visited the camps. They reviewed relief efforts and checked emergency preparedness.

Authorities stressed that protecting citizens’ lives and property is their top priority. Police officers, Rescue 1122 teams, and district officials remain on high alert. They are ready to respond immediately to any emergency.

Officials urged the public not to believe rumors or spread panic. Residents should contact the nearest emergency camp, local police station, or Rescue 1122 helpline in any emergency.

DPO Lower Chitral, Iftikhar Shah, said the police will always stand with the people. He assured that authorities will provide timely help and protection. Citizens are encouraged to stay in close contact with officials and cooperate fully to ensure safety.
