CHITRAL: City police in Lower Chitral arrested a man during patrol and seized over one kilogram of hashish, a pistol and cash.
The action came on the orders of DPO Lower Chitral Iftikhar Shah, who directed strict measures against drug dealers.
Police identified the suspect as Zahoor Ahmed, son of Sheli Khan, a resident of Khorkashan Deh. ASI Jang Baz Khan stopped him during patrol under the supervision of SDPO Sajjad Hussain and SHO SI Haider Hussain.
Officers recovered 1,255 grams of hashish, a pistol with a fake charger, one 30-bore cartridge, and Rs36,050 in suspected drug money.
Police arrested the suspect and started further investigation. Officials said they remain committed to a “drug-free Lower Chitral.”
