BOONI: July 24, 2025 – Two young women tragically lost their lives in a road accident near Noghordur, a village in the Saht area of Mulkhow, Upper Chitral, early Thursday morning.
According to local sources, a Suzuki jeep traveling from Saht to Booni, driven by Atta-ur-Rehman, veered off the road and plunged into a deep ravine near Noghordur. While the driver survived the crash without serious injury, two female passengers were killed on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as the daughters of Maqsad Khan and Nadir Khan, both residents of Noghordur, Saht. The victims were reportedly in their early twenties and belonged to the same family.
The incident has once again raised alarm over the poor condition of the Saht–Booni road, which is notorious for its narrow curves, lack of safety barriers, and high risk of accidents.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
