PFF president accepts invitation to visit Chitral

Kamal Abdul Jamil, President of Ideal Football Club Drosh and a candidate for Executive Member of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, met newly-elected PFF President Syed Mohsin Gilani in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Kamal extended a formal invitation to PFF President Gilani to visit Chitral, a region known for its strong football culture and emerging youth talent. The PFF president accepted the invitation and expressed his eagerness to engage directly with football stakeholders and players in the area.

Kamal Abdul Jamil briefed the PFF chief on the growing popularity of the Chitral Football League (CFL), an annual grassroots tournament that continues to provide a platform for hundreds of young footballers from across Upper and Lower Chitral. He highlighted the untapped potential of the region’s youth and the need for institutional support to further develop football infrastructure and training opportunities.

The PFP president lauded the efforts being made at the district level to promote football in Chitral, and assured full support from the federation in integrating remote regions like Chitral into the national football framework. He emphasized the importance of inclusive growth and promised to prioritize investment in areas where youth participation is high but resources are limited.

The meeting concluded with a shared vision of collaboration between PFF and regional football leadership to uplift youth sports in Chitral and create a pathway for local talent to rise to the national stage.
