ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday dismissed the pre-arrest bail application of Chitral MNA Abdul Latif.
On May 30, Latif and scores of other PTI activists were sentenced to jail for 27 years on different charges last month for their involvement in arson attack on a police station in Islamabad on May 9, 2023, in protest against the arrest of party founder Imran Khan.
Dismissing the appeal in the absence of the MNA, the court noted that the convict in the May 9 violence case has yet to surrender to authorities.
\”A fugitive from justice cannot be granted relief,\” the court remarked, rejecting the request from Chitrali’s counsel to withdraw the application.
In his verdict against the PTI activists, the court had stated that the accused attacked the Ramna police station, opened fire, pelted stones and attempted to kill police officers. The accused also set motorcycles on fire for their own purposes.

Our MNA should appear before court and should not remain in hiding. He is Imran lover and should join him in Adiala jail and spend his time with his great leader and accompany him. Back home, the seat is going to be occupied by Talha Mahmood. But alas there will be no one to oooooo in National assembly of Pakistan.
