DUBAI: Anum Khan, a police officer from Sargodha, Punjab, has brought global recognition to Pakistan by winning the \”Excellence in Criminal Investigation\” award at the World Police Summit Awards 2025 held in Dubai.
Serving as an investigative officer in Sargodha, Anum Khan was honored for her exceptional investigative skills and professional leadership. The award ceremony hosted by Dubai Police was attended by police chiefs and security experts from over 90 countries.
Anum received the award for her outstanding work in solving two high-profile murder cases in Punjab. In the first case, she led the investigation into the brutal murder of a 12-year-old domestic worker, Ayesha Bibi. Under her command, Sargodha Police apprehended the suspects within just 72 hours.
In the second case, she successfully oversaw the arrest of those involved in the murder of a young man, Mohsin, within only 24 hours.
Recognized previously with awards and commendations by Punjab Police, Anum’s international accolade highlights her capability to perform at world-class standards. Her selection for the award came after a rigorous evaluation of over 900 investigative reports submitted from across the globe – a process that underscored the depth of her skill and dedication.
Speaking at the summit in Dubai, Anum Khan said: \”This is a proud moment for Pakistan and Punjab Police. The World Police Summit, organized under the patronage of the United Arab Emirates, is considered one of the most prestigious global platforms recognizing excellence in law enforcement.
