KHUZDAR: Four Levies personnel were martyred when armed assailants opened fire on a security check post in Khuzdar\’s Samand area late Friday night, authorities confirmed.
According to Levies officials, the attackers launched the assault under the cover of darkness, targeting the Samand check post. The sudden and heavy gunfire resulted in the martyrdom of four Levies personnel.
“The terrorists attacked in the dead of night, but our men confronted them with great bravery,” a Levies spokesperson said.
Following the incident, a large contingent of security forces swiftly arrived at the scene. The area was cordoned off, and a search operation was launched to apprehend the culprits.
Security officials have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, while the bodies of the martyred personnel were shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal procedures.
This attack highlights the persistent threat posed by armed groups in Balochistan despite ongoing operations to restore peace and stability in the province.
