BOONI: Following the remarkable success of the Pakistan Army and Air Force against India, various programs were organized today in Upper Chitral to celebrate a thanksgiving day.
The purpose of these events was to pay tribute to the outstanding sacrifices made by the armed forces for the country\’s defense and integrity.
The day began with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the DC office in Booni, followed by a one-minute silence in memory of the martyrs.
Later, a brief ceremony was held at Government High School Booni in connection with the day.
Students, teachers and administrative officers congratulated the armed forces and expressed their firm resolve that whenever the nation needs them, every citizen of Upper Chitral will be ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the security forces and make any necessary sacrifices.
Under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner Muazzam Khan Bangash, administrative officials also visited the Police Lines Martyrs\’ Memorial. They laid wreaths, remembered the martyrs’ sacrifices, and offered prayers for their eternal peace.
Furthermore, during the Friday sermons, the sacrifices of the armed forces of Pakistan were highlighted, and prayers were offered for the safety and prosperity of Pakistan.
